CONTRIBUCIÓN AL ESTUDIO FLORÍSTICO Y DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA VEGETACIÓN DEL MUNICIPIO DE TENABO, CAMPECHE, MÉXICO
Abstract
The work was done in the municipality of
Tenabo, situated in the norte of the state
of Campeche, Mexico, it has 88,200 ha of
surface and between 0 and 100 m.o.s.l. of
altitude. The following types of vegetation
registered are rain forest deciduos,
subdecidous medium tropical, subevergreen
medium tropical, subevergreen low tropical,
petenes, mangroves, as well as secondary
vegetation. It was explored systematically
from october 1997 to february 1999 with
purpose to collect vegetable specimens and
a vegetation map is provided as is a landscape plant, where the distribution of the
plants communities and cultivation areasare
shown. 467 species of 322 genera belonging to 94 families of vascular plants are reported, including 14 endemic species the
region. The vegetation is threatened by
physical factors, mainly human activity.
