REVISIÓN DE LOS GÉNEROS ONOCLEOPSIS, PLECOSORUS Y POLYSTICHUM (ASPLENIACEAE-PTERIDOPHYTA) PARA LA CUENCA DEL RÍO BALSAS, MÉXICO*

Abstract

This taxonomic-floristic treatment of the
genera Onocleopsis, Plecosorus and
Polystichum (Aspleniaceae-Pteridophyta)
in the Balsas River Basin, Mexico, is intended as a contribution to the knowledge
of the regional flora. Three genera, eight species and one new hybrid are treated. A key
is presented to the genera and hybrid and
another for the separation of the species of
Polystichum. The following information is
included for each genus: type species, description, synonymy, a statement on the size
and geographic distribution, and literature
references. For each species the following
information is given: synonymy, description,
geographic distribution, specimen citations
by states, elevational ranges, plant communities in which it grows and a distribution
map. Each species is illustrated, and spore
photomicrographs are provided.
