NUEVOS REGISTROS DE CARYOPHYLLACEAE PARA MÉXICO
Abstract
Polycarpon apurense Kunth and Sagina
japonica (Sw.) Ohwi (Caryophyllaceae) are
here presented as novelties for the flora of
México. Both taxa from Southamerican and
Asian-Northamerican origins are now
secondary elements of the adventitious flora of
Veracruz, Mexico. The poor knowledge and
collections of these genera in our country may
be derived by their diminutive habitus, short
periods of occurrence during their life cycle and
wrong identifications.
