MORFOLOGÍA DE LOS GRANOS DE POLEN DE LA FAMILIABORAGINACEAE DE LA ESTACIÓN DE BIOLOGÍA CHAMELA, JALISCO,MÉXICO
Abstract
Pollen morphology of four genera and
fourteen species of Boraginaceae was
studied and illustrated. The observations
of pollen grains were carried out under the
light microscopy and the scanning electron
microscopy. Seven main pollen types were
found: tricolporate, reticulate in Bourreria
rubra Lott y Miller; tricolporate,
microechinate in Cordia alliodora Ruiz y
Pavon, C. elaeagnoides DC. y C.
gerascanthus L.; tricolporate, striatereticulate in C. seleriana Fern; triporate,
eureticulate in C. curassavica (Jacq.)
Roemer y Schultes and C. inermis (Miller)
I.M. Johnston; tricolporate with
pseudocolpi, psilate, verrugate or rugulate
in Heliotropium angiospermum Murray,
H. procumbens Miller, Tournefortia
hartwegiana Steud and T. volubilis L.;
tricolporate with negative reticulum in H.
indicum and Cordia dentata Poiret; porate,
gemmate in T. hirsutissima L. These pollen
types are correlated with taxonomy of the
family.
